6 Eco-Friendly Products That Make Me Feel Like A Green Goddess At Home
I'm starting living a green lifestyle. My eco journey started when I was in college and my friends and I started recycling, buying organic food and being more conscious of our carbon footprint.
I also love to help other people live a greener life by sharing practical tips about how to go green in your own home. The world is changing and we need to change with it. We need to do our part to make the world a better place for future generations.
We can all do our bit by making small changes in our lives to help towards a more sustainable future.
Here are 6 eco-friendly products that I use every day in my own home:
1) Organic Cotton Bathroom Tissue
A popular trend in the bathroom is organic cotton bathroom tissue. Many people are choosing this environmentally friendly option for their homes and businesses.
This type of tissue is made from 100% organic cotton and is an excellent choice for those people who want to make a difference in their environment without sacrificing quality.
Organic cotton bathroom tissue offers many benefits over other types of tissue on the market today:
Environmentally friendly: Organic cotton is not harmful to the environment as it does not contain any chemicals or pesticides that can harm wildlife or pollute water sources such as rivers and streams.
It also doesn't require pesticides or herbicides to grow so you don't have to worry about harming bees or butterflies when you use it!
2) Cloth Napkins & Dish Towels
Cloth napkins and dish towels are made from cotton or linen and are a stylish, environmentally friendly alternative to paper napkins and paper towels.
These natural fibers are durable, absorbent, and easy to clean.
They can be used over and over again for years before they need to be replaced. Linen is an especially good choice as it is stain resistant, easy to clean, and lasts longer than cotton.
3) Bamboo Toothbrushes & Floss
Bamboo toothbrushes and floss are a great alternative to plastic and can be used for both teeth and gums. They are made from bamboo, which is a sustainable resource and it’s biodegradable. The bristles of the toothbrush don’t contain any nylon or other synthetic materials that can potentially be harmful to your health.
Bamboo has been used for centuries as a natural material in many different ways, including making toothbrushes. Bamboo is a grass, so it grows naturally without pesticides or fertilizers, which means that you can use bamboo products without worrying about any chemicals being absorbed into your body.
The bristles of bamboo toothbrushes are soft but effective at cleaning teeth, while also being gentle on gums and sensitive areas of your mouth. The bristles are also antimicrobial, which means they will kill bacteria on contact while also preventing new growth of bacteria.
Bamboo floss is made from 100% organic material and is completely biodegradable when disposed of properly (into compost or trash). It doesn’t break apart easily like traditional floss does, so it lasts longer than traditional flosses do before needing replacement (about two years).
4) Organic cotton sheets
The benefits of organic cotton sheets are numerous. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic pesticides or artificial fertilizers, and it’s often grown by small farmers who use sustainable farming practices. Organic cotton is not genetically modified and is processed without the use of harsh chemicals or dyes. This makes organic cotton a healthier option for you and your family than regular cotton.
Organic cotton sheets also have better breathability than other types of fabric sheets. This means that they will keep you cooler in summer and warmer in winter without compromising the quality of your sleep.
Cotton is one of the most popular fabrics used for making sheets because it’s soft, durable, comfortable and easy to care for.
5) Stainless steel water bottles
Stainless steel is one of the most durable and long-lasting materials available. It’s rust-resistant, making it ideal for outdoor use. Good quality stainless steel water bottles are non-toxic and completely safe to drink from.
Stainless steel is also a great material to use when you want to avoid plastic and BPA chemicals that leach into your drinking water.
Stainless steel water bottles are lightweight, easy to clean and do not retain smells or flavors. They are also very affordable compared to other types of reusable bottles.
6) Bamboo utensils instead of plastic ones
Bamboo utensils can be made from different types of bamboo, including moso bamboo, which is known for its durability and strength. These utensils are perfect for cooking because they won't melt or break under high temperatures like other materials would.
Bamboo utensils are also biodegradable, so you don't have to worry about them taking up space in landfills for years on end. They're also easy to clean — just throw them in the dishwasher!
